Renault Retail Group’s new Swansea to Land’s End All-Electric Challenge is here!

The Sales Team at Renault Retail Group Swansea pride themselves on always staying up to date with their product knowledge in order to provide our customers with a comprehensive description of any one of our award-winning range of Renault and Dacia electric, petrol and diesel vehicles. 

One Renault vehicle in particular – the 100% Electric Renault Zoe – has been a prominent favourite in the European electric vehicle (EV) market for almost 10 years, bringing zero-emissions motoring within the reach of everyone.  These multi award-winning EVs have shown just how easy it is to transition from regular ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles to electric and with an impressive range of up to 245 miles on a single charge, courtesy of its mighty 52kWh battery, drivers can be charge confident in the 100% Electric Renault Zoe on every journey. 

Following the recent success of the first “Cymru to Calais” All-Electric Challenge, when Craig and Chris from our Swansea Sales team zapped off to France and back to gain a real-life experience of tackling a long journey in a 100% Electric Renault Zoe Van, two more members of the same team have now been charged with taking the Zoe on an even longer trip, from Swansea to Land’s End and back.

This time, Jay Dent and Justin Davies are the two intrepid travellers who will be putting a 100% Electric Renault Zoe Van through its paces on a round journey of approximately 530 miles.  They will be setting off from Swansea at 7:30 am on Monday, 15th November, and hope to reach their journey’s end at the most Southerly tip of England in time for a late lunch.

Justin and Jay are looking forward to the challenge and are also hoping for some decent weather in order to enjoy some of the views as they travel from Wales, across the West Country, down into Cornwall and to the very end of England’s coast.  Planning their route has been easy, as the 100% Electric Renault Zoe is fully equipped with R-Link, which enables the travellers to plan the route, factor in any potential road closures and alternative routes if required, as well as showing the range and where the nearest charging stations are along the way.

Renault Retail Group recently switched all their courtesy cars in their dealerships across England and Wales to a fleet of 100% Electric Zoe E-Tech models.  Upgrading its courtesy car fleet means that Renault Retail Group’s customers across the network are now able to experience the advantages of everyday electric driving in the Zoe’s comfortable and spacious interior.    

We wish our new road warriors the best of luck with what is guaranteed to be a very exciting trip into the very best of the Cornish countryside.

  • 2 metre floor markings in all our dealerships to help you keep a safe distance from others
  • All our colleagues will wear a face mask / face covering and we have protective screens at all workstations
  • Hand sanitiser are readily available for all customers and colleagues to use. Upon arrival at the dealership, we kindly request that you sanitise your hands thoroughly
  • All desks, workstations and card payment machines are regularly cleaned and sanitised
  • We respectably request that everyone visiting our premises will be required to wear face masks and coverings to protect the safety of our staff and customers.
