Renault is celebrating another remarkable achievement as the Renault Master was named 2025 International Van of the Year (IVOTY) at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover on September 16th. The award, voted for unanimously by a panel of experts from 25 European countries, recognizes the Renault Master for its outstanding design, innovation, and versatility.
A Perfectly Crafted Van for the Modern Era
The new Renault Master impressed the IVOTY jury with its completely new design, advanced aerodynamics, and remarkable innovations. This includes enhanced space, safety, and comfort, along with increased usability. What truly sets the new Master apart is its modular platform, which can accommodate diesel, electric, and hydrogen powertrains – making it adaptable for every type of professional need.
Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the International Van of the Year jury, praised the Renault Master, saying:
“The jury was highly impressed by the new Master’s innovation and technology. Its advanced design and versatility in powertrains are what earned it this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations to Renault Light Commercials on this fantastic achievement!”
A Legacy of Success
The award marks the fifth time Renault has taken home the prestigious IVOTY title, with previous wins including the Renault Master II (1998), Trafic II (2002), Kangoo Z.E (2012), and Kangoo Van III (2022). It follows Renault’s other major win earlier this year, when the Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric was crowned Car of the Year 2025. This is the first time in 27 years that Renault has won back-to-back "Car of the Year" and "Van of the Year" titles.
Heinz-Jürgen Löw, SVP of Renault Brand, Light Commercial Vehicles, added:
“This award is a wonderful tribute to the incredible teams who worked on this project. The New Master is the perfect example of Renault’s commitment to innovation and meeting the needs of our professional customers, offering unmatched versatility and energy choices.”
With this latest win, Renault continues to solidify its position as a leader in innovation, design, and reliability across the light commercial vehicle industry.
