As a result of internal re-structuring, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Dealership Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the manufacturer owned Group of Renault dealerships, which also includes the successful Dacia franchise.

The successful candidate will be based in Wolverhampton and be part of the team that produces the monthly management accounts for the Midlands region and will have a designated branch/es as their remit.

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Production of accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with standard accounting practice and Group policy, which are submitted within a strict 3 day deadline
  • Attendance at monthly business reviews with the Dealer Principal and line managers, to provide both financial and operational guidance
  • Analysis and interpretation of key performance indicators, to highlight possible weaknesses and potential profit opportunities.
  • Annual budget preparation
  • Full monthly BS reconciliations, with any necessary actions taken to ensure all controls are in place.
  • Various monthly and quarterly duties to include payroll input, vat returns, manufacturer composites and other ad-hoc reporting, as required and deemed necessary by the business.

Skills & attributes

  • Kerridge/ADP experience
  • Previous motor trade experience
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to spot errors.
  • Full discretion with confidential and sensitive information.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Midlands Regional Accountant

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 30 minute lunch break

  • We have also introduced a limit to the number of people inside our dealerships
  • All of our colleagues will wear a face masks, and we have installed protective screens at all workstations.
  • We have made hand sanitiser readily available for all customers and colleagues to use. Upon arrival at the dealership we kindly ask you to sanitise your hands thoroughly.
  • All desks, workstations and card payment machines are cleaned & sanitised regularly.
