We're celebrating a fantastic achievement here at Renault Retail Group! At the prestigious Fleet World's Great British Fleet Awards 2025, Renault has driven away with not one, not two, but three coveted titles!
Leading the charge is the impressive Renault Master, which has been crowned both 'Large Van of the Year' and the overall 'Van of the Year'! This double victory highlights the Master's exceptional appeal to fleet operators and drivers alike, regardless of whether they opt for the advanced electric E-Tech version or the efficient two-litre diesel.
The judges at Fleet World were particularly impressed by the Renault Master's thoughtful design, which prioritises both practicality and aerodynamic efficiency – ultimately helping to keep running costs down. Its generous specification across the range also stood out, ensuring drivers are well-equipped no matter the trim level chosen.
John Kendall, Editor at Van Fleet World, lauded the Renault Master as the 'Large Van of the Year', noting its transformation and suitability for both the electric future and current diesel demands. He praised its good looks, excellent driving experience, extensive cab storage, and the upcoming digital instruments. The comprehensive specification, even on the entry-level Advance models, further solidified its win.
When awarding the Renault Master the overall 'Van of the Year' title, Kendall emphasised the surprise and delight the new model brought. He highlighted the bold new exterior and interior design, the comprehensive equipment levels, the competitive payload and load space, and the excellent driving experience of both the diesel and electric variants. The aerodynamic design was also recognised for its potential to reduce the total cost of ownership – ticking all the boxes for a top-performing large van.
Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Wins 'Best Compact EV'
Adding to the triumph, the highly anticipated Renault 5 E-Tech electric also took home a major award, being named 'Best Compact EV'. This win underscores the excitement surrounding the return of this iconic model, with judges praising its "standout looks" and fun-to-drive character.
John Challen, Editor at Fleet World, described the Renault 5 E-Tech electric as "one of the most eagerly-awaited vehicles – let alone EVs – for a very long time. And also a triumphant return for an iconic model name in motoring." He highlighted the fun injected into driving by its striking design, clever lighting cues, and well-thought-out interior. The decent driving range was also noted as a significant plus.
Available in five versions across three trim levels, with battery options offering an urban range or a comfort range of up to 252 miles (WLTP), the Renault 5 E-Tech electric provides comfortable seating for five and a practical 326-litre boot.
