The judges were particularly impressed with its secure, confidence-inspiring handling, comfortable ride, and user-friendly infotainment system. Our favourite version, the Comfort range in techno trim, was highlighted for its nimble performance and great range. As Adam Wood, Managing Director of Renault UK, pointed out, this car is truly “changing the way Britain thinks about electric cars,” proving that EVs can be "desirable, fun and accessible."
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric brings an iconic nameplate into the electric era with contemporary design and clever features. It includes the OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in, a refined chassis, and practical charging features. Depending on the trim, it offers up to a 250-mile WLTP driving range and can charge from 15–80% in just 30 minutes.
What’s more, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric qualifies for the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant, which reduces the on-the-road price by £1,500.
