Here at Renault Retail Group, we're incredibly proud to see how Renault's commitment to innovation extends far beyond everyday driving. We're thrilled to share insights into Vision 4Rescue, a groundbreaking demo-car developed in collaboration with Software République, set to transform how our emergency services respond in critical situations.
Unveiled on June 11, 2025, Vision 4Rescue is more than just a vehicle; it’s a high-tech ecosystem featuring nearly 20 interconnected solutions. Its core purpose? To standardise the diverse technologies currently used by emergency services, enabling a faster, more efficient, and better coordinated response when every second counts.
Based on the robust Renault 4 E-Tech electric, Vision 4Rescue is a practical and fully operational response to the evolving needs of modern emergency services. This demo-car builds on Renault's extensive knowledge gained from a 15-year partnership with fire services across 19 countries.
The design itself is a testament to its purpose. Vision 4Rescue boasts a sturdy, raised body style, with ground clearance increased by 15mm. Crucially, it features a second electric motor on the rear axle, providing permanent all-wheel drive, ensuring it can tackle any terrain to reach those in need.
Its unique aesthetic is directly inspired by the world of rescue. The striking new red paintwork, reminiscent of rippling fire, is highlighted by fluorescent yellow-green diagonal lines, embodying urgency. Even the 'PinPon' pattern on its 3D-printed bumper parts is a playful nod to the sound of French emergency vehicle sirens.
The true ingenuity of Vision 4Rescue lies in its function as a mobile, connected command centre. It's designed to analyse situations and adapt emergency responses in real-time, regardless of the circumstances.
Integrated into its roof bars is a large aerodynamic capsule, specifically designed to house an observation drone and a range of equipment developed by Software République. This allows emergency teams to restore communication networks in the aftermath of a disaster.
The interior has been meticulously designed in close collaboration with fire services, with safety and functionality at its core. The dashboard, based on the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, includes firefighting specific features like a polished metal grab handle engraved with "Je te reçois 4 sur 4" ("Reading you loud and clear"). Even the seats are partially made from recycled foam from firefighting suits, highlighting a commitment to sustainability and practicality.
At the rear, a clever split boot transforms the vehicle into an office on wheels. The upper section features a sliding desktop and two screens connected to a high-powered computer, allowing for drone control and ground communication. The lower section provides organised storage for essential emergency equipment, with electronic gear remaining charged at all times.
Vision 4Rescue truly leverages the adaptable nature of the Renault 4 E-Tech electric's platform, with its low load sill and flat boot making it ideal for rapid deployment and efficient operation in critical moments.
This collaboration between Renault, Software République, and emergency services is a testament to how innovative design and cutting-edge technology can deliver impactful solutions for our communities. We look forward to seeing how these advancements continue to support the vital work of our emergency responders.
