Renault has once again captured the imagination of car enthusiasts around the world with the thrilling public debut of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a bold, all-electric reboot of the legendary Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2.
The stunning “mini-supercar” made its first official runs at the Historic Tour de Corse rally, ahead of this year’s competition celebrating the 40th anniversary of Jean Ragnotti’s famous 1985 victory in the Maxi 5 Turbo.
Two advanced prototypes wowed crowds in Calvi and on the iconic Notre Dame de la Serra and Montegrosso stages, delivering a spectacular display of power, agility, and unmistakable Renault spirit.
The Spirit of a Legend, Reborn
The Renault 5 Turbo 3E is far more than a nostalgic tribute, it’s a vibrant celebration of Renault’s racing heritage brought into the modern electric era. Developed by Alpine’s engineers, the Turbo 3E takes everything fans loved about the original and reimagines it for today’s performance enthusiasts.

The first runs in public were highly symbolic, marking the 40th anniversary of the Maxi 5 Turbo’s victory — and now, we’re preparing an exciting personalisation programme for customers to make their cars truly unique.”
