Here at Renault Retail Group, we are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news! Renault has secured an incredible hat-trick of victories at the prestigious AutoTrader Drivers’ Choice Awards 2025, celebrating innovation, driver satisfaction, and a commitment to a sustainable future.
This remarkable achievement includes the highly coveted “Editor’s Choice” award for the much-anticipated Renault 5 E-Tech electric, the title of “Best Car for Long Distances” for the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric, and the significant “Sustainability Initiative Award” for the Renault Group itself!
The spotlight shone brightly on the new Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which captured the coveted "Editor's Choice" award. AutoTrader’s Editorial Director, Erin Baker, had nothing but praise for this exciting new model, priced from only £22,995 OTR and offering a range of up to 252 miles.
"Winning just one award category is impressive, and scoring a hat-trick is a huge achievement, but for Renault, it truly is thoroughly deserved," said Baker. "The brand has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and its current line-up is really exciting, none more so than the Renault 5 E-Tech electric. As soon as it was announced, everyone that remembered the original hoped it would be just as thrilling. And Renault has nailed it. It’s impossible to drive the Renault 5 E-Tech electric without a huge smile on your face, so for me, there really was only one winner of the Editor’s Choice Award this year."

The success continued with the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric, starting from £37,195 OTR. This isn't its first accolade, having collected the prestigious Erin Baker Award last year for its impressive driving range of up to 381 miles, family-friendly interior, and useful technology.
This year, the Scenic E-Tech electric was voted the UK’s “Best Car for Long Distances” – and crucially, this award comes directly from the people who know best: car owners themselves! Over 225,000 owners completed an online survey, sharing their real-world opinions on the cars they own and live with, making this a true testament to the Scenic's capabilities and comfort on longer journeys.
Completing this outstanding trio of wins, Renault’s unwavering focus on sustainability was recognised with the "Sustainability Initiative Award." This award highlights Renault's leadership in the industry's decarbonisation efforts, epitomised by the Emblème concept.
The Emblème concept integrates advanced eco-design principles, extensive use of recycled and recyclable materials, and innovative technologies to achieve unprecedented levels of decarbonisation, all while maintaining the comfort, style, and versatility our customers expect.
Erin Baker further explained: "Renault is equally deserving of the Sustainability Initiative this year; it has clearly signalled its sustainability intentions with the Emblème, a unique concept that will emit just 5 tonnes of CO2 in its lifetime. Our independent judges from The Carbon Literacy Project said that it represented a clear understanding of what’s required from the industry to achieve the necessary decarbonisation: ‘It sets a precedent for the industry and a clear pathway for the future.’ Bravo Renault.”
