Renault UK Celebrates a Record-Breaking 83 Awards in 2025

Renault UK has achieved a landmark year, winning 83 industry awards in 2025 – an extraordinary leap from the previous record of 53 awards in 2024. That’s an average of one award every five days, underlining the strength, consistency and momentum of the Renault brand across the UK market.

These accolades span the entire Renault range, covering passenger cars, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrids, and recognise both current models and exciting vehicles still to come.

Electric Excellence Leads the Way

A defining feature of Renault’s success in 2025 is the dominance of its electric line-up. Over 61% of all awards were won by pure electric vehicles, and every current Renault EV picked up at least one trophy this year.

The standout star was the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which claimed an incredible 30 awards alone. Fresh from its launch, the retro-inspired EV quickly became one of the UK’s best-selling electric cars and earned the prestigious International Car of the Year title. This achievement placed Renault among a very select group of manufacturers to win the award in consecutive years, following the Scenic’s victory in 2024.

The Renault 5’s success continued across major award platforms, including:

  • Scottish Car of the Year
  • Business Car of the Year
  • Which? Best Buy and Eco Buy
  • Autocar Car of the Year
  • Motor Trader EV of the Year

Its appeal spans private buyers, fleet customers and industry experts alike, praised for its value, design, and real-world usability.

Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Makes an Immediate Impact

Not far behind was the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, which has made a remarkable impression in a short space of time. Despite only recently arriving on UK roads, it secured eight major awards in 2025, including:

  • Top Gear ‘Electric Car of the Year’
  • Parkers ‘Car of the Year’
  • World Champion at the New Car World Championships

These accolades highlight Renault’s ability to reimagine iconic nameplates for the electric era while delivering vehicles that resonate with modern drivers.

Awards Across the Entire Range

Renault’s success extended well beyond its headline EVs:

  • Scenic E-Tech electric and Megane E-Tech electric both received multiple awards, ensuring that every Renault electric passenger car was recognised in 2025.
  • In the hybrid sector, the Clio and Rafale picked up awards, reinforcing Renault’s “two-legged” strategy of offering customers both best-in-class electric and hybrid solutions.
  • The New Renault Master proved to be one of the brand’s most decorated vehicles of the last 18 months, winning 12 awards in 2025 alone, including multiple ‘Best Large Van’ titles.
  • Electric LCVs also shone, with both the Master E-Tech and Kangoo E-Tech collecting top honours.

Renault was further recognised at a brand level, winning multiple Manufacturer of the Year awards, reflecting the strength of its overall product strategy and customer proposition.

Recognition for the Future

Even vehicles not yet launched attracted praise from the automotive media. The forthcoming fully electric Twingo and the high-performance R5 T3E mini supercar were both highlighted as some of the most exciting cars on the horizon.
