At the AutoTrader New Car Awards Nissan won the Sustainability Initiative Award as chosen by British drivers.
Here's what AutoTrader said about it;
Every business – including Auto Trader – is facing the challenge of addressing sustainability issues, the broader car industry perhaps under greater scrutiny than most. In partnership with the Carbon Literacy Trust, with whom Auto Trader has its own sustainability training programme, we wanted to recognise the manufacturer with the most proactive approach to dealing with climate change, be that through its products, manufacturing or people.
The entries were judged by the experts from the Carbon Literacy Trust and we’re pleased to announce Nissan as the winner of the Sustainability Initiative Award 2022, with Citroën and Volvo also praised for their efforts in this field.
Having led the way making electric cars affordable with its Leaf hatchback, Nissan is now expanding its battery powered line-up and developing sustainable products to suit various needs. The all-electric Ariya is an impressive product in its own right, while the innovative Qashqai E-Power offers a pathway into electric power for those who may not have the domestic or local infrastructure to support their charging needs.
So, congratulations Nissan on this most important award!
